Reflecting and Showing Gratitude
Hey there, it’s been a minute, hasn’t it? So much has happened since we last caught up. Before my most recent article, I think the last one I’ve written was in December (it’s currently April.) I was diving headfirst into a new job, getting ready to move out onto my own, and embarking on a journey of self-discovery while taking a much-needed break from social media… kind of.
Let me fill you in on the latest chapter of my adventure.
First things first, let's talk about work. I must say, I’m really loving what I do. It’s so exciting to be able to pour my creativity and knowledge into projects that challenge and inspire me. However, as much as I thrive in my professional pursuits, I've also learned the importance of being able to take a step back to prevent burnout. Balancing passion with a little self-care here and there has become a priority, and stepping away from work after hours has been a game changer.
Speaking of which, remember when I mentioned taking a break from social media? Well, it’s been more of a casual scrolling, not really posting kind of situation. While I haven’t completely severed my ties with the online world, I’ve definitely dialed down my presence. And let me tell you, it’s been liberating. Disconnecting from the constant buzz of notifications has allowed me to reconnect with the present moment and focus on what truly matters. Like preparing for my independence…
I’ve officially taken the leap and moved out on my own. *gulp* Taylor Swift may have welcomed everyone to New York, but for me, I’m excited to welcome everyone to Philadelphia. I’ve been here for about two months now and I’m trying to discover some hidden gems and really learn how to be happy on my own. So, every day feels like an adventure waiting to unfold.
But perhaps the most admirable part of this journey has been the opportunity for my own self-discovery. With each passing day, I’m learning more about who I am, what I value, and where I want to go. Every change, every challenge, and every moment of uncertainty has opened doors to new possibilities and perspectives.
So, how the hell am I doing?! Truth be told, I’m doing better than ever. I’m navigating life with a newfound sense of purpose and gratitude. And, while the road ahead may be uncertain, I’m embracing each step with open arms, ready to embrace whatever comes my way.
